Atlas VTT

Install Atlas

Add Atlas VTT to Obsidian and open its dashboard.

Atlas is a community plugin, so you install it from the plugin list inside Obsidian.

Install the plugin

  1. Open Obsidian's Settings and select Community plugins.

  2. If Restricted mode is on, turn it off. Obsidian only shows community plugins when it is off.

  3. Select Browse and search for Atlas VTT.

Atlas VTT in the community plugin list.
  4. Select Install, then Enable.

Updates come the same way. To check for them, open Settings, then Community plugins.

Atlas also has a theme for Obsidian that sets your notes on parchment. See Use the Atlas VTT theme.

Atlas adds a folder named atlas-vtt to your vault and keeps your maps, scenes and tokens there. You also get a new icon in the left ribbon, Display image on player view, which shows an image to your players. See Show an image to your players.

Open the dashboard

Nothing opens by itself after you enable Atlas. The dashboard is its start page, with your recent scenes and the way into everything else.

  1. Open Obsidian's command palette.

  2. Run Atlas VTT: Open dashboard. The dashboard opens in a new tab.
