Atlas VTT

Use the Atlas VTT theme

Install the Atlas VTT theme for Obsidian. It sets your notes on parchment and grows ivy over the panels of Atlas.

Atlas VTT has a theme of its own for Obsidian. Your notes look like the pages of an old adventure module, and Obsidian's sidebars, menus and the panels of Atlas take the same tones.

A note about a forest inn in the theme's light scheme.

Install the theme

If Obsidian is installed on this computer, open the theme in Obsidian and select Install and use. Or find it yourself:

  1. Open Obsidian's Settings and select Appearance.

  2. Next to Themes, select Manage.

  3. Search for Atlas VTT and select the theme.

  4. Select Install and use.

The theme works in any vault, with or without the Atlas plugin.

Light and dark

The theme has a parchment scheme for the day and a candle-lit one for the night. To switch, open Settings, select Appearance and choose Light or Dark under Base color scheme.

What your notes get

Headings, file names, table headers and callout titles are set in a display font that comes with the theme. The note title and the first two heading levels get a double rule under them.

A block quote becomes a box, for text you read aloud at the table. Bold text that opens a line turns into a red label, so **Lodging:** A bed in the loft costs 2 silver pennies reads like an entry in a module.

The Text font and Accent color you choose under Appearance replace the theme's. Statblocks drawn by Fantasy Statblocks in a note keep the look of their own layout.

Ivy on Atlas

With the theme on, ivy grows over the corners of the Asset Manager, the command palette of Atlas and the statblock card of a token. It grows nowhere else in Obsidian.

To open that card, hold Ctrl (Cmd on macOS) and move the pointer over a token that is linked to a statblock. The creature's name and the section headings in it use the theme's heading font, and so does the name of a roll on the dice.
