Share a collection
Export a collection as a .zip file and import collections from other game masters.
To share a collection with another game master, you export it as one .zip file, and they import that file with Atlas in their own vault. A collection holds the scenes, maps, tokens and encounters of one campaign or adventure.
Export a collection
Open the Asset Manager. Press A on the map, or click Asset Manager on the dashboard.
Under Collection on the left, choose the collection you want to share. The export button shows only for a single collection, so All Collections has none.
Click Export collection (the download icon next to Collection).
The Export collection and Import collection buttons in the sidebar. Check the details. Version is the number of this release. The people who import it see Author and Release notes.
Pick a Cover. You can use art from a map or scene, Upload image, or choose No cover.
Under What's included, clear the check box of anything you want to leave out.
The export dialog with cover, version and the list of what's included. Click Export v2 (the button shows your version number). Atlas makes a .zip file named after the collection and the version, for example
Goblin Caves v2.atlas-collection.zip.
What's in the file
The file holds everything the collection needs to work in another vault:
- Scenes, with their snapshots, backgrounds and preview images.
- Maps and their images.
- Tokens, with their token images.
- Encounters.
- Statblocks: the Fantasy Statblocks notes your tokens link to, with their art.
- Notes that the note pins and characters on your scenes open.
- The collection's tags and settings.
Share a collection you imported
If you export a collection that you got from someone else, Atlas asks you to publish it as your own. Give it a new name and click Publish.
Your copy then becomes a new collection that starts at v1 and no longer gets updates from the original.
Import a collection
Open the Asset Manager.
Click Import collection (the upload icon next to Collection) and choose the .zip file.
Check the cover, the author, the release notes and What's included.
The import dialog for a new collection. Click Import. The collection appears in your Asset Manager.
If you already have a different collection with the same name, Atlas asks for a new name first.
Update an imported collection
When the author sends you a newer version, import the new file the same way. The dialog shows what is new, updated and removed. Click Update.
If you changed something that the update also changes, the dialog lists it. For each item, choose Keep mine or Use update.
Atlas makes a backup of every file that an update replaces or removes.
