The command palette
Atlas' own palette on the map for tools, player view controls and map settings.
The command palette is a search box on the map. Use it to pick a tool, control the player view and change the settings of the map.
Obsidian's command palette is a different one. For the commands Atlas adds to it, see Obsidian commands.
Open the palette
Press Space on the map, or click Command Palette in the toolbar.
Type to search, and the list shows only the entries that match.

Tabs
The palette has four tabs: All, Tools, Mode and Settings.
Tools
| Entry | What it does |

| Move Tool | Selects the move tool. |
| Fog Tool | Selects the fog tool. See Fog of war. |
| Measure Tool | Selects the measure tool. |
| Note Pin Tool | Selects the note pin tool. See Link notes to the map. |
| Open scene browser | Opens the Asset Manager on the Scenes tab. |
| Scene snapshots | Opens the Scene Snapshots panel. See Scene snapshots. |
| Open dice log | Opens the log of dice rolls. |
| Open loot roller | Opens the loot roller. See Roll loot. |
Mode
| Entry | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enter Player Mode | Shows this map as your players see it: hidden tokens disappear. Choose Exit Player Mode to go back. |
| Freeze Player Camera | Stops the player view from following when you pan and zoom. Changes on the map still show. Choose it again to unfreeze. It needs an open player view. |
| Send Current Map to Player View | Shows the active map in the player view. Opens the player view if it is not open. |
Settings
The Settings tab holds Grid settings, Token settings, Widget settings, Dice settings and Local player view settings. Each one opens a panel. Click the close button at the top of a panel to go back to the list.

Grid Settings
Change the grid of this map with Show grid, Snap to grid, Grid type, Line style, Opacity, Line width and Colour. On hex grids you can also turn on Hex numbers.
Click Enter Alignment Mode to line the grid up with the map image. See Line up the grid.
Token Settings
Choose what shows on the tokens of this map: Show nameplates, Show instance badges (numbers on tokens that use the same image), Show HP bars and Show secondary resource bars.
Widget Settings
Turn widgets on and off, and add new ones. The options of the initiative tracker are here too. See Widgets.
Dice Settings
Choose how rolls show with Roll display: thrown as Dice, as Fast dice at double speed, or as a Result card without dice. Under Dice you pick the colour of the dice and their Numbers. These settings apply to all maps. See Roll dice.
Local Player View Settings
Choose what the player view shows. These settings apply to all maps.
Under Interface are Show grid, Show widgets, Show initiative panel and Show dice rolls. Under Tokens are Show HP bars, Show secondary resource bars and Show nameplates. Note previews never show in the player view.
Click Open player window to open the player view. See Show the map to your players.
