Update

Atlas VTT 0.12.0

TrueScale and the player window bar

New

New Feature: TrueScale

  • For a TV lying on the table: the players' zoom locks so a grid cell measures an inch, or 25 or 30 mm, on the glass, on every map
  • Set up without typing a number: lay a bank card on the TV and turn one dial until the outline hugs it. Atlas remembers the set-up for that screen
  • The players' screen is a frame on your map that you can slide and pin, snapping to the grid
  • Saved frames: bookmark a frame on the scene and send the players back to it with a click
  • Contributions by ThatMattLatt

New Feature: Player Window Bar

  • Opening the local player view now reveals a toolbar
  • Full screen on the TV with one click
  • Hide the map: the player window goes black until you reveal it, also across scenes and restarts
  • Choose what players see: widgets, initiative, dice rolls, resource bars and nameplates
  • Take back a handout with one click

General

  • Improved Cave map generation with more varied rooms
  • Walls on forest maps follow the edge of the trees, and roads and rivers stay open
  • Render the player view up to 4K, in the command palette's player view settings, for a 4K TV or an ultrawide screen

Fixed

  • Bright dots no longer flash on the floor at the Saver lighting quality while a light moves
  • Magical darkness no longer shows a room's shape to players when a token stands in a companion's light that outshines it
  • A note pin on a repeated heading opens the one you picked, and the heading list shows the sections around it
  • Roofs stay on the map at every zoom and pan
  • The Roofs switch hides roofs from your GM view at every zoom, and is disabled in session view
  • Animated maps and water keep moving on the player view while the Obsidian window is hidden or minimised
  • On Windows and Linux the mouse wheel scrolls a note or statblock opened with Ctrl held, and no longer resizes the toolbar
  • Fixed issue where Asset Manager would bug out on Mac

Atlas Online

  • A campaign can no longer hold two players with the same name
  • Notes and pins a player sets on the world map stay when you present another scene
  • The online table menu closes when you click outside it
  • Improved tooltip panel UI for abilities and inventory
